The following post is a guest contribution from Baby-Kind-Blog.de:
When sewing you need a lot of accessories. In addition to sewing machines, needles, thread and fabrics, you also have other materials flying around, such as zippers or press studs, which you can attach to your self-made baby rompers, trousers or hoodies.

Sewing boxes for storage of small parts - 3D printing
For all kinds of accessories like scissors I have a big sewing basket, but especially for the small parts like clamps and push buttons there was no really nice solution on my desk to have everything sorted and always ready to hand. That's why I designed myself a nice little colorful sewing box and printed it with the 3D printer.
Colourful sewing box / storage boxes
There are 5 smaller and 2 larger storage boxes, each printed with different colours (PLA Filament: blue, purple, red, orange, yellow and green). The whole thing is completed by a white holder in which the boxes can be placed.
So everything has its order and its fixed place. Of course, the choice of colours is up to you, I like it colourful, and so we printed our way through the existing PLA rolls and colours.
These beautiful boxes are also ideal as pen holders on the desk. It can even be used as a children's toy, which our older daughter impressively proved to us when she filled the boxes with dough and water and tipped them cheerfully back and forth. 😉
STL-File and 3D-Printer configuration:
Printing was done with PLA and a resolution of 0.2mm layer thickness. The required files (*.STL) I uploaded at thingiverse and can be downloaded there for free. If you want you can print this storage as well. A very nice sewing box I think.
